A brighter image is produced by the 4x40 scope than the 7x35 monocular, and is best for low-light
conditions or when the vessel is heaving.
The 4x40 scope has fully coated optics and a large 40 mm objective lens to produce a clear
four-power non-inverted (upright) image.
The Tamaya 7x35 monocular scope produces a sharp high power 7-power wide angle non-inverted image.
It is more powerful than the 4x40 scope and yields more accurate readings.
The scope has fully coated optics and a large 35 mm objective lens.
Either scope fits both Tamaya's Jupiter and Spica Sextants.
