Gimbaled Desk Stand Compass $50
This Stanley London® Gimbaled Desk Stand Compass is a solid brass reproduction of an antique sailing ship cabin compass.
The compass is mounted on a 360-degree double gimbal ring system on a heavy brass base.
The gimbal ring design enables the compass to remain level despite the angle of the base.
The brass compass rose is marked "Stanley London."
In order to protect your fine furniture, the bottom of the base is covered with felt.
The compass measures 2 5/8 inches (6.7 cm) in diameter, and the overall compass is 3 5/8 inches (9.2 cm) in diameter,
6 1/8 inches (15.6 cm) tall, the base is 3 inches (7.6 cm) in diameter, and the compass weighs just over one pound (465 grams).
This compass is beautifully detailed, and polished to a high luster.
You may also have a personalized inscription that can be engraved around the base of the compass in arc-shaped lettering.
One to two lines can be engraved on an arc above the stand and a maximum of two lines can be engraved in a u-shaped arc below the stand.
A maximum of 4 words can be engraved on each line.
