Surveyor's Compass $55
The Stanley London® Surveyor's Compass is a handsome brass directional compass.
A sighting bar with a slit sight is exposed when the lid is unfolded, and the lid also contains a slot
with a replaceable thread that acts as a rear sight.
The face features a compass rose and a small round spirit level to assist in maintaining level.
The base has a three-legged mount for setting or displaying the compass on a level surface.
However, the three-legged mount can be unscrewed to mount the compass on a standard surveyor's tripod.
The compass is equipped with a needle lift mechanism, found frequently in high quality compasses.
This needle lift mechanism protects the jewel while being carried, by raising it off the post.
This beautiful compass measures 3 5/8 in. (9 cm) diameter, and weighs 1 pound, 4 ounces (564 grams).
The left side of the compass lid can be custom engraved.
The highly polished solid brass Surveyor's Compass is offered at only $55.
We also carry a Polished Brass Prismatic Compass on a Brass Desk Stand.
