Stanley London® Brass World War I Pocket Compass Reproduction with Hardwood Gift Box
$50
Gold Plated Chain $9.40 - $10.50
This is a beautiful and accurate Stanley London® reproduction of the famous pocket compass used
by U.S. Forces in World War I and II.
These compasses use standard pocket watch cases and were made by Longines-Wittnauer, Kueffel & Esser, Waltham
Watch Company, Taylor, and others nearly 100 years ago.
The case is solid brass and its spring-loaded lid will automatically open when the button on the fob is pressed.
The compass needle is accurate, quick and responsive, and free to rotate under a convex glass crystal whenever
the lid is open.
Closing the lid operates a needle lift mechanism that protects the compass bearing while transporting the compass.
The compass measures 1.79 inches (4.54 cm) in diameter, 0.54 inches (1.37 cm) thick, and weighs 2.2 ounces
(62.4 grams).
Both sides of the compass are blank and can be custom engraved with initials, a monogram, or up to 18 words of your personalized
inscription.
Sorry, the inside lid cannot be engraved.
The pocket compass comes complete with a beautiful hand-rubbed solid hardwood gift box.
The top of the hardwood case has a solid brass inlaid badge and the case interior is lined with felt.
The hardwood case cannot be custom engraved, but custom brass inlaid badges are available with a 250-piece
minimum purchase.
We offer two solid brass pocket compass chains as an option for your compass.
These chains are specially made to be non-magnetic and will not effect the accuracy of your compass.
Each has a clasp on one end that attaches to the fob on the pocket compass, and the other end can be attached
to your pocket, belt, or button hole.
There are two different gold plated chains designed to compliment a polished brass pocket compass:
The Gold Plated Light Pocket Compass Chain is 14 3/4 inches (37.5 cm) overall, weighs 0.5 ounces (14 grams),
and costs $9.40;
The Gold Plated Heavy Pocket Compass Chain has larger links and is 14 inches (35.5 cm) overall, weighs 1.1
ounces (31 grams), and costs $10.50.
We also offer a solid brass medium pocket compass
the fine Stainless Steel Dalvey Pocket Compasses,
and an inexpensive plastic version of this compass.
The Reproduction Brass World War I Brass Pocket Compass with hardwood gift box sells for $50.
An optional red or black velvet draw string bag is available for an additional $1.50.
