These beautiful 19-inch long solid brass refractor telescopes produce a bright and clear 18-power non-inverted (upright) image.
The telescopes use precision ground glass optics and rotating a large adjusting ring near the eyepiece will result in focusing an object.
Mounted on solid hardwood and brass tripods the Stanley London® 19-inch telescopes are available in two models:
A polished brass version and a model with the main tube wrapped in a hand sewn high quality 100 percent leather
sheath.
The advantages of the dark brown leather sheath are its distinctive styling that eliminates fingerprints or tarnish on the main tube.
The telescopes measure 19 inches (48.3 cm) long, and the main tubes are 2 inches (5.1 cm) in diameter.
The objective lens of the telescope has a diameter of 1.5 inches (38 mm) and is protected by a removable brass cap.
The height of the telescopes is adjustable from a minimum height of 18 1/2 inches (47.0 cm)
to a maximum height of 27 3/8 inches (69.5 cm) tall.
Both versions are mounted on beautiful brass and hardwood adjustable tripod bases and are
perfect for a desk, table, or credenza.
To avoid scratching your fine furniture or the slipping of the tripod, the feet of the tripod have molded rubber tips.
The telescope is easily removed from the stand, and the stand collapses efficiently
for compact storage.
Either model of this telescope with tripod weighs 6 pounds (2.7 kg).
These beautiful brass telescopes are perfect for your office desk, or near a window.
The polished brass version can be custom engraved on the main tube with artwork or
up to three lines of text, 7 - 8 words per line.
Due to the large width of the engravable area, we suggest engraving full names rather than monograms or initials.
Sorry, but the leather sheathed version cannot be engraved.
