A handsome polished cast brass guard serves as hand protection on this officer's sword. Also, the grip of the sword is made of comfortable genuine leather and is wrapped with twisted wire. The blade is made of tempered carbon steel and is .230 inches (5.8 mm) thick and 1 1/4 inches (32 mm) wide. This sword is 40 1/2 (103 cm) inches overall and weighs 2 pounds 10 ounces (1.2 kg).
