A handsome polished cast brass guard serves as hand protection on this cavalry saber. The comfortable contoured solid hardwood grip has twisted wire inset into grooves in the wood. The blade is made of tempered carbon steel and is .225 inches (5.7 mm) thick and 1.2 inches (30.5 mm) wide. This saber is 39 1/2 (100 cm) inches overall and weighs 2 pounds 10 ounces (1.2 kg). The saber comes complete with a polished steel scabbared that has brass accents and weighs 1 pound 13 ounces (0.82 kg). Custom engraving is available for the blade and/or the steel scabbard with one or two lines of text with up to eight words per line.
