We are pleased to offer both polished brass and leather sheathed versions of the
Stanley London® 18-inch Spyglass Telescopes.
These 12-power telescopes have four brass pipes, with the largest pipe being tapered.
To reduce lens flare, there is a built-in sunshade that extends.
Both telescopes provide a bright and clear highly magnified upright image and are 2 1/8-inch (5.5 cm) in
diameter.
The fully extended telescopes measure 17 5/8 inches (44.8 cm) long and 6 5/8 in. (16.8 cm) long when collapsed.
The diameter of the multi-coated objective lens is 37.25 mm.
The telescopes are solid, weighing 1 pound, 3 ounces (539 grams) for the polished brass version, and
over 1 pound, 4 ounces (578 grams) for the leather sheathed version.
There are no glued components on either telescope and both are constructed entirely of threaded solid brass tubing and fittings.
The 18-inch brass telescope is offered for $110, and the leather sheathed model sells for $120.
A beautiful solid hardwood case with felt lining is available for the 18-inch telescopes for an additional $23.
The case measures 8 3/8 inches (21.3 cm) long, 3 1/8 inches (7.9 cm) deep, 2 3/4 inches (7.0 cm) tall, and weighs 14 ounces (397 grams).
The telescopes can be custom engraved near the eyepiece with 1 - 2 lines of text, maximum 4 words per line.
Custom engraved brass plaques are available for the top, front, and inside lid of the hardwood case.
Plaques for the inside lid can be engraved with a maximum of 6 lines, 11 words per line and plaques for the front base can be engraved
with a maximum of 4 lines, 6 words per line.
When requesting engraving directly on the telescope, we suggest engraving full names rather than
monograms or initials due to the large width of the engravable area.
The brass diamond-shaped inlay on the top of the box cannot be engraved.
We also offer a similar and less expensive 16-inch brass telescope with leather case
and the larger 28-inch brass telescope with hardwood case.
