Our spotting telescope has high quality multi-coated glass optics for crystal clear viewing over a high 20 - 40 power range. This means objects appear 20 to 40 times closer when viewed with this telescope. There are two knurled controls for adjusting the focusing and the zoom. By rotating the wider adjusting ring near the eyepiece, the optical power is adjusted. Rotating the second ring will allow for clearer focus to be achieved. Due to its clear coated finish, the telescope will never require polishing or show fingerprints. The telescope's large eyepiece provides plenty of eye relief and comfortable viewing even for eyeglass wearers. As with all of our brass telescopes, images are non-inverted, or upright. The telescope is 15 3/4 inches (40.0 cm) long, the built-in sunshade is 2 inches (5.1 cm) in diameter, and has an objective lens diameter of 40 mm. The telescope is accompanied by a collapsible brass tripod complete with elevation adjustment. The spotting telescope features standard 1/4-20 threading so you can also mount it on your camera tripod for use as a floor standing telescope. To protect your fine furniture and prevent the tripod from slipping, the feet of the tripod have molded rubber covers. The telescope can be easily removed from the tripod, and the tripod collapses efficiently for compact storage. The light and compact nature of the spotting telescope's tripod makes a perfect small camera tripod when traveling. The height of the telescope is 10 3/4 inches (27.3 cm) and the telescope with tripod weighs 3 pounds (1.4 kg). This beautiful brass telescope is perfect for your office desk, or near a window.
