Full Description:
This beautiful Stanley London® solid brass inclinometer is used to measure the heel of a sailboat at sea.  Knowing the heel, or angle of tilt of a sailing vessel, is vital for optimum sail trim, as well as safety.  The pendulum inclinometer features a low friction weighted brass pendulum that indicates the angle of heel to 1 degree accuracy over a +/- 30 degrees range.  The pendulum inclinometer has a beveled glass cover and a solid brass case, mounted on turned hardwood base.  The pendulum inclinometer is 5 3/4 inches (14.6 cm) in diameter, 1 5/8 inches (4.2 cm) thick, and weighs 1 pound, 8 ounces (680 grams).  The pendulum inclinometer cannot be engraved, but the pendulum inclinometer provides superior performance to our bubble clinometer in full sun and over wide temperature extremes as there is no fluid or bubble.
